A month or so off the top...

Much like the restful Bill Simmons, I took some time off from the blog. Of course, his vacation was scheduled, taking time off from his lucrative position with ESPN to do what he used to do for free, while I took time off because I didn't feel like writing. There are many things harder than forcing yourself to write a blog post, but not many that I can procrastinate and forget to do.

So, here's a quick personal update: breaking news...we'll be having our reception at Geppi's Museum in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. That's right, we're moving the reception for a beautiful gothic parish house to "a journey through 250 years of American pop culture." The place is fantastic; a beautiful space right above the Camden Sports Legends museum, adjacent to Camden Yards, in the heart of downtown. The space has gorgeous wood flooring and the exhibits have something for all to see. I know that my boy Tobes is going to get a bit chubb rock from all the comic books.

OK, onto other things, primarily my proposition that this will be your central hub for all things making fun of the Ravens. That's right, I'm going to use my fandom to write about the Ravens season to absolutely kill the team. I'll watch the games, read up, and channel all my negativity into this blog.

Hmmm, Kyle Boller is the starting QB for the pre-season opener. Awesome. I'm excited to watch the game to see who gets injured and which chumps make some play that gives us some hope for the season...only to dash all dreams by Week 7.

Then again, it could be worse...you could be Bret Favre in the swamps of NY. Good luck going 6-10.
